NASRC launches registration for Spring 2026 natural refrigerant training

The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) has opened registration for its Spring 2026 Natural Refrigerant Training Summit series, offering free training for refrigeration technicians across the United States.

Each three-day event includes expert-led instruction on CO2 and propane refrigeration systems, a technology exhibit, and a career fair for R/HVAC students. The spring series will begin on February 10–12, 2026, in Poughkeepsie, New York—marking NASRC’s first training event in the state. It will be co-hosted by New Yorkers for Clean Power and Cornell Extension Smart Choices – Mid-Hudson. A half-day practical workshop will take place on February 12.

“By bringing technicians, students and employers together for hands-on learning and connection, we’re strengthening the workforce needed to support the industry’s shift to natural refrigerants,” said Danielle Wright, NASRC executive director.

Additional training summits will be held March 10–12 in St. Louis, Missouri, and April 21–23 in Irwindale, California.

NASRC will also offer a one-day workshop on CO2 transcritical booster systems during the IIAR Natural Refrigerant Conference & Expo in San Antonio, Texas, on March 17. The session, led by NASRC Training Director Rusty Walker, will cover system fundamentals, component functions, advanced controls, and troubleshooting.

The 2025–26 season is supported by sponsors including Albertsons, Amazon, BITZER US, Costco, Kroger, and Walmart. Funding for the New York event comes from the New York State Environmental Protection Fund, administered by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The California event is funded by the California Air Resources Board’s F-gas Reduction Incentive Program.
