NFRA Opens Registration for 2026 Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Convention

The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) has opened registration for the 2026 NFRA Convention, scheduled for October 17–20 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland, USA. The event is expected to gather more than 2,000 participants from across the frozen and refrigerated foods sector, including retailers, manufacturers, sales agents and supply chain partners, for over 7,500 scheduled business meetings across three days.

The convention is structured around a concentrated meeting format designed to facilitate direct discussions between industry stakeholders. According to the organizers, attendees will conduct multiple pre-arranged meetings aimed at accelerating decision-making and strengthening collaboration between retailers and manufacturers across the frozen and dairy product categories.

Several networking and product showcase activities are also planned. The “Taste of Excellence” reception on Sunday evening will feature exhibiting brands and manufacturers presenting new products. Additional meeting and sampling areas, including Café NFRA and Frozen Fix, will operate from Sunday through Tuesday to provide informal networking space for participants.

The program includes a number of scheduled sessions and presentations. During Monday’s breakfast session, participants in NFRA’s First Penguin Next Generation Leadership Program will present case studies addressing challenges and opportunities in the frozen and refrigerated marketplace. Tuesday’s breakfast session will feature chef and restaurateur Christine Ha, winner of season three of the television cooking competition “MasterChef.”

The convention agenda also includes the Annual Membership Luncheon, where NFRA Chairman Bill Kynast of Chobani will present the State of the Association and oversee the installation of newly elected officers and directors. NFRA President and CEO Tricia Greyshock will present the organization’s strategic plan for advancing frozen and refrigerated food categories. On Tuesday, the Golden Penguin Awards luncheon will recognize marketing and merchandising campaigns in the sector, including the announcement of the 2026 Top Marketer Award winners.
