PBX launches ecos M24 at IAA Transportation in Hannover

PBX GmbH, a start-up technology company providing clean cooling solutions, zero-emission logistics and digital transport solutions announces it’s product launch ecos M24. ecos M24 technology based on propane (R290) as natural refrigerant. It enables a transformation to zero emission transport by replacing the environmentally unfriendly high-GWP refrigerants currently on the market providing real zero-emission operation. It ensures a maximised payload, volume, robustness, driving range guaranteeing reliable transport of temperature sensible goods. Meaningful insights for operational excellence and cost efficiency are continuously generated by predictive analytics based on proprietary digital twins.

ecos M24 by pbx meets the demands and addresses the needs of both refrigerated fleet managers and drivers (end users): A low GWP, non-toxic refrigeration solution fulfilling future F-GAS regulation, designed for electric vehicles maximizes the payload of the refrigerated vehicle with highest possible efficiency. The specific system design and its digital services offer fleet managers tools & support decision systems enabling them to e-transform their refrigerated fleets, understand, assess & optimise the deployment of refrigerated electric fleets. It enables them to make the transition to refrigerated electric economically feasible within the next one to two years.

Key Features:

  • Maximized payload: up to 50% lower weight compared to the next best in class system on the market. This leads in total weight reduction of the electric light commercial vehicle up to 15%, resulting with costs saving of more than 60'000 EUR/year (equipment, driver, maintenance) for every 10th vehicle.
  • Maximal driving range: It is up to 25% more efficient. In part-load conditions maximizing the daily driving range of the refrigerated electric vehicle.
  • Fully electric: Directly driven by the traction battery of the vehicle.
  • Maximal availability: Designed for electric it offers zero maintenance maximising asset availability compared to the high GWP solutions with annually planned maintenance.
  • Plug & run capabilities makes installation easy & everywhere in the world. The concept requires no refrigeration knowledge neither for commissioning nor operating the unit.
  • Zero emission: First market ready propane solution for transport refrigeration. Propane as natural refrigerant with a GWP < 1 and thanks to its excellent thermodynamic properties is one of the most sustainable refrigerants of the future.
  • Utterly hermetic: The most compact unit and system architecture with lowest refrigerant charge in a hermetic refrigeration circuit is modular and scalable to your needs.
  • Fully IoT capable: Assess performance, optimize operations, link asset management with logistic processes.

Availability

  • Market ready: ecos M24 is field tested in real operational environment
  • Safe & Certified: CE certified together with TÜV SÜD

PBX present itself to the public at the IAA Transportation in Hanover from 19th to 25 September 2022. In Hall 13, Booth C2013, all visitors can experience the future of transport refrigeration.
