AFEC, AEFYT and AFAR will hold an event in Spain on June 26 to mark World Refrigeration Day 2026 under the theme “Air Conditioning and Refrigeration: essential yet invisible technologies.” The event aims to highlight the role of the HVACR sector in everyday life and sustainable development.
The event is organized by AFEC, the Association of Air Conditioning Equipment Manufacturers; AEFYT, the Association of Refrigeration Companies and Technologies; and AFAR, the Association of Andalusian Refrigeration Manufacturers. It will take place in Madrid from 11:00 to 14:00 at the José María Cuevas room of CEOE, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations.
The meeting will bring together professionals across the value chain, including installers, distributors, maintenance companies, specifiers, public administration technicians and manufacturers. Discussions will focus on how refrigeration and air conditioning support safe food, functional hospitals, habitable cities, stable industrial processes and the digital economy.
The agenda will address the structural value of the HVACR sector and the role of air conditioning and refrigeration technologies in infrastructure that supports society. The event will also cover their contribution to health protection, preservation of food and medicines, economic activity and a more efficient and sustainable energy transition.
