Webinar: 2021, What Future for the HVAC/R Sector?

New technologies and refrigerants, review of the f-gas regulation, covid-19 and vaccines distribution

2021 is going to be a milestone year in the global history of refrigeration. A new revision of the F-Gas Regulation is coming, alongside the latest technological developments; however, we will have to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic: what will we have to take special care of, in terms of HVAC/R plants?

During the online event we shed light on the only and first-of-its-kind Certification for sanitising and disinfecting HVAC/R systems, with particular attention on the involvement of refrigeration and the cold chain concerning Covid-19 vaccines distribution, in light of the ultra-low temperatures required for its storage and transportation. As always, we kept an eye on new technologies’ developments (equipment, tools, components, etc.), safety measures (leak checking, risk assessment, etc.), energy efficiency and renewable energies, alternative and natural refrigerants, HFC’s phase out and phase down, systems’ retrofit, regeneration and reclamation of refrigerants.

With a great attendance, after the introduction by AREA President Marco Buoni, the online event featured presentations by 10 among CSG's Platinum Partners:

CAREL Industries, Miriam Solana Ciprés | “F-Gas Review: what Changes will it Bring?”

Officine Mario Dorin, Giacomo Pisano | “Ultra-Low Temperature Refrigerators for Covid-19 Vaccines’ Cold Chain: Systems and Compressors Solutions”

Epta, Francesco Mastrapasqua | “Green Deal and Commercial Refrigeration: the Way to Carbon Neutrality”

Chemours, Ernesto Revello | “Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Refrigeration”

General Gas, Stefano Fedeli | “The cold Chain Facing F-Gas Challenges Ahead: A2L Best Solutions Matching EN 378”

LU-VE Group, Rodolfo Cavicchioli | “Next Generation of Low-GWP Refrigerants - Challenges and Solutions”

WIGAM, Sergio Mozzato | “Equipment and Tools to be Used with the New Low-GWP Refrigerants. Equipment for HC and CO2 Systems”

Fieldpiece, Michael Harris | “Back to The Future!”

Rivacold, Filippo Luchetti | “VAG Refrigeration Laboratory – Covid-19 Way Out: How Crucial Are Measurements for R&D in Refrigeration”

Castel, Antonio Sepe | “Latest Technological Developments in Terms of Products Compatible with Refrigerants HFO and HC, Classified A1, A2L and A3”
