The Italy-based group targets 63% cuts in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035 and 90% across all scopes by 2050.

SBTi approves Enex Technologies’ emissions targets

The Science Based Targets initiative has approved Enex Technologies’ near- and long-term science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets. The Italy-based company said the validation covers targets across its operations and value chain and supports its pathway to net zero by 2050.

For the near term, Enex Technologies committed to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 63.0% by 2035 from a 2024 base year, and to reduce absolute Scope 3 emissions by 37.5% over the same period. For the long term, the company committed to cut absolute Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions by 90.0% by 2050 from the same baseline year.

Enex Technologies said the approval confirms that its climate strategy is aligned with the level of emissions reductions required to limit global temperature rise in line with climate science. The company operates in more than 125 countries through 12 industrial sites across Italy, France, Spain and Slovakia.

The company also reported several sustainability milestones over the past year, including joining the United Nations Global Compact, publishing its first Communication on Progress, receiving the EcoVadis Bronze Medal and achieving ISO 14064-1 certification. In 2025, Enex Technologies said its natural refrigerant solutions enabled customers to avoid more than 250,600 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions.

“As regulatory pressure, energy costs and decarbonization expectations intensify across Europe and globally, customers need partners that can combine industrial reliability, engineering depth and credible sustainability commitments,” said François Audo, CEO of Enex Technologies. “SBTi approval sends a clear signal: Enex Technologies is investing in decarbonization not only within its own footprint, but also through the technologies we bring to market every day.”
