A-Gas International is pleased to announce that A-Gas Americas has bought Refri-Claim, the reclamation division of ICOR International. Refri-Claim, a certified Environmental Protection Agency refrigerant reclaimer, has a network of distributor-based exchange centres across the USA which provide an over-the-counter refrigerant cylinder exchange service for customers.
A-Gas Americas Chief Executive Monte Roach said: “This acquisition is a part of our core strategy of managing the complete lifecycle of refrigerants for our customers. It will allow A-Gas to broaden its footprint and enhance its services’ offering to our wholesale partners, their contractors, end-users and other customers.”
A-Gas will take over the existing Refri-Claim customer base. All refrigerant cylinder stock, reclamation and refurbishment equipment will be transferred to A-Gas where it be will relocated to its operation in Magnolia, Texas.
The Refri-Claim over-the-counter cylinder exchange programme provides customers with back-up refrigerant cylinders, helps with repairs and handles the paperwork associated with recertification.
