CellarPro Cooling Systems has launched its Unit Cooler Series, a configurable evaporator product line for HVAC/R technicians, refrigeration contractors and cellar builders who want to select their own condensing units. The series is based on the company’s Air Handler evaporator platform and is CellarPro’s first product line aimed exclusively at the professional refrigeration trade.
Three models cover wine cellars up to 600 cu ft (17.0 m³), 1,250 cu ft (35.4 m³) and 1,750 cu ft (49.6 m³). The AH3500UC has a 1/4-ton (approx. 0.88 kW) nominal size and capacities of 2,182, 2,367 and 2,632 BTUH (approx. 640, 694 and 771 W) at low, medium and high fan speeds. The AH5000UC is rated at 1/3 ton (approx. 1.17 kW) and 3,531–4,690 BTUH (approx. 1.03–1.37 kW), while the AH8500UC is rated at 1/2 ton (approx. 1.76 kW) and 4,252–5,810 BTUH (approx. 1.25–1.70 kW).
The BTUH ratings are based on a 55°F (12.8°C) cellar temperature, 17°F TD (9.4 K) and 38°F (3.3°C) SST. Condensing units are sold separately. Standard equipment includes a coated evaporator coil, high-output EC centrifugal fan, three-speed fan control, factory-installed TXV, stainless steel drain pan and refrigerant access valve.
The fans can be ducted up to 100 equivalent ft (30.5 m), with 50 ft (15.2 m) per duct. The AH3500UC uses 8-in. (203 mm) ducting, while the AH5000UC and AH8500UC use 10-in. (254 mm) ducting. Units are factory-pressurized with dry nitrogen, ETL tested and certified, made in the USA and supplied with a two-year warranty.
Options include standard and remote Dixell digital controllers, a 24V thermostat configuration, Low Ambient Kit, integrated humidifier and integrated heater. CellarPro lists residential wine cellars, commercial wine storage and specialty temperature-controlled rooms among the applications.
