Carrier has launched the AquaForce 30XFZ air-cooled screw chiller in Japan, targeting cooling requirements in the country’s growing data center market. The unit is designed to support energy efficiency, business continuity and flexibility as demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital services increases.
The AquaForce 30XFZ provides high efficiency at elevated chilled-water temperatures and features integrated free cooling. It can restart in as little as 120 seconds following a power interruption, supporting rapid recovery of cooling capacity.
The chiller enables free-cooling operation without unit shutdown and incorporates a built-in free-cooling heat exchanger to help reduce the installation footprint. According to Carrier, its startup performance can also reduce buffer tank requirements, equipment space and capital investment.
Carrier Japan supports the equipment with monitoring, preventive maintenance, service expertise and aftermarket support. The company said the chiller is intended for applications ranging from enterprise and colocation data centers to hyperscale environments.
“Carrier has developed a broad range technologies and solutions for data center markets around the world, and Carrier Japan will continue to strengthen the value we bring to customers in Japan by leveraging our global expertise and innovation,” said Mineo Maruyama, President of Carrier Japan.
