Caverion to expand Estonian data centre by 22 MW

MCF Group Estonia has appointed Caverion Finland as the main contractor for a EUR 50 million [approximately USD 54 million] expansion of the Greenergy Data Centers campus in Estonia. The project will add 22 MW of IT power and cooling, increasing the campus’s total capacity to 31.5 MW.

Caverion will be responsible for the expansion’s electrical, cooling, ventilation and fire protection systems. The data hall expansion is expected to be completed in autumn 2026.

According to the project announcement, the data centre is the largest in the Baltic region and complies with the highest international security requirements. The project is expected to employ approximately 200 experts on site and will be carried out with a network of companies in Estonia.

Caverion said the work will involve its experts in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, together with partner companies in Estonia. The company has participated in nine data centre projects in Finland, while the wider Assemblin Caverion Group has recently secured data centre assignments in Finland, Denmark and Sweden.

“The expansion of the Greenergy data centre marks the next step in developing AI-ready digital infrastructure in Estonia. Delivering projects of this kind requires experience that can only be gained by building some of the world’s most complex technical facilities. Caverion brings valuable expertise from delivering similar projects across the Nordic region, making them a strong partner for this project,” said Kert Evert, CEO of MCF Group Estonia.
