Moon Environment Technology Co., Ltd. attended the UNIDO Sustainable Cooling Forum 2026, hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Austria earlier this month. The event focused on the impact of UNIDO’s Montreal Protocol projects on sustainable cooling technologies and the role of industry in advancing sustainable cooling solutions.
According to the company, Moon-Tech joined the forum at UNIDO’s invitation alongside China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the China Household Electrical Appliances Association. The forum brought together stakeholders from around the world to exchange experience in technology, policy, business and financing related to the cooling sector.
On April 9, Ju Chengcheng, deputy director of Moon-Tech’s Central Research Institute, gave a technical presentation at a climate forum held at the Hofburg Palace. The presentation, titled “The Promotion of Natural Refrigerants in China’s Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration,” outlined the company’s work with green refrigerants and referred to the market expansion of NH3/CO2 cascade refrigeration systems and HCs refrigeration systems in industrial refrigeration, commercial refrigeration and heat pump applications.
Moon-Tech said its subsidiary Dunham-Bush was also invited by UNIDO. At a side event, Won Moon Fui, deputy general manager of Dunham-Bush Malaysia, presented data center cooling solutions under the topic “AI at the Energy Crossroads: From Footprint to Transformation for a Sustainable Energy Future.”
UNIDO said the forum strengthened partnerships among governments, companies and international organizations. Participants discussed technologies, policy frameworks, business models and financing pathways for the cooling sector, with the event highlighting cross-sector collaboration and support for the transition to sustainable cooling.
