Carrier Transicold showcased new electric and digital solutions at Solutrans 2025

At Solutrans 2025, Carrier Transicold presented a wide range of new technologies for temperature-controlled transport, highlighting advancements in electrification, digitalization, and fuel efficiency. The innovations were designed to help fleet operators reduce emissions, lower operating costs, and support the energy transition in road transport.

Among the highlights was the [R]eCool plug-in battery retrofit system, which enables the conversion of diesel-powered semi-trailers equipped with Vector refrigeration units into hybrid or fully electric operation. Certified to R100 standards, [R]eCool integrates Addvolt’s advanced power electronics and offers a battery life expectancy of over 12 years. The system aims to cut fuel consumption, emissions, and noise levels while enhancing fleet sustainability.

Carrier Transicold also unveiled the eCool-Drive module, the first power converter specifically developed for electric tractor units. This technology converts high-voltage direct current from the tractor's battery into alternating current for refrigeration units, allowing any refrigerated trailer to operate seamlessly with a 100% electric tractor.

The company showcased additional fully electric solutions, including the Syberia 14 eCool unit for medium and heavy trucks, and the Pulsor 400 E unit on a Renault Master e-Tech van, designed for all-electric urban food deliveries. In its High Efficiency (HE) range, Carrier Transicold presented the Vector HE 17 and the award-winning Vector HE 19 trailer units with reduced CO₂ emissions, along with the Supra HE 13 Multi-Temperature unit for straight trucks, now compatible with B100 biodiesel.

A fuel-optimized version of the Vector HE 19 was previewed, featuring an advanced control system and a new intermediate engine speed of 1,500 rpm. According to the company, this configuration can reduce fuel consumption by up to 19% under real operating conditions without compromising temperature precision. The upgrade is expected to be available for retrofit in 2026.

Carrier Transicold also highlighted new capabilities in its Lynx Fleet digital telematics platform, which now provides real-time monitoring of CO₂ emissions and fuel costs. The platform includes reporting tools aligned with regulatory standards such as VECTO and offers intelligent recommendations to improve energy efficiency.

Additionally, the company introduced a digital marketplace featuring over 20,000 parts and accessories, with plans to expand the service across Europe.
