Carrier Transicold surpasses 20,000 global sales of OptimaLINE units

Carrier Transicold has announced that global sales of its OptimaLINE container refrigeration units have exceeded 20,000 since the product's commercial launch in September 2024. The company cites increasing demand for energy-efficient and sustainable cold chain solutions in the maritime sector.

The OptimaLINE unit is equipped with a variable-speed scroll compressor, permanent magnet motor, and intelligent refrigeration controls. According to Carrier, this combination can reduce annual energy consumption by up to 15% and carbon emissions by up to 40% compared to earlier models.

The units have undergone sea trials in various operating conditions and have transported perishable goods across standard ocean trade routes at temperatures ranging from -25°C (-13°F) to 6°C (42.8°F). Carrier reports consistent performance on voyages lasting two to three weeks.

OptimaLINE is also compatible with Carrier’s Lynx Fleet telematics platform, which enables real-time performance monitoring, GPS tracking, remote diagnostics, and predictive maintenance.

“OptimaLINE was designed to meet the evolving needs of the global cold chain — maximizing performance while minimizing environmental impact — and this milestone affirms our customers’ confidence in both our technology and our vision,” said Vineet Kashyap, Vice President & General Manager, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold.

This sales milestone aligns with Carrier’s stated goal of helping its customers avoid more than 1 gigaton of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
