Cold Move have initiated an ambitious sustainability project that sets a new benchmark in journey toward achieving a net-zero carbon footprint. Building upon our solar photovoltaic (PV) installation commissioned in 2012, the company is excited to announce the addition of solar PV panels to three more roof spaces of cold stores this year.
Back in 2012, Cold Move became one of the first cold storage facilities in the UK to embrace solar PV technology.
These new installations are poised to deliver tangible environmental benefits, serving as a pivotal milestone in Cold Move’s ongoing pursuit of reducing carbon footprint. By harnessing the inexhaustible power of the sun to generate clean electricity, the company is taking significant strides toward mitigating their environmental impact.
By integrating solar panels into cold stores, Cold Move is proactively diversifying energy sources and minimizing dependence on conventional power grids. These installations not only generate clean energy but also contribute to the overall stability and resilience of operations, reducing vulnerability to potential energy shortages.
