Commercial Cold Holdings Expands with iDube Cold Storage Acquisition
Commercial Cold Holdings (CCH) has acquired iDube Cold Storage in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) as part of its ongoing expansion in the temperature-controlled logistics sector. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This acquisition increases CCH's national capacity to 153,000 pallet positions across 11 facilities in South Africa and Namibia. The iDube Cold Storage facility enhances CCH’s capabilities in KZN, bringing the regional capacity to 25,000 pallet positions. This new facility complements CCH’s existing Keystone Park facility in the area.

This deal marks CCH's third major acquisition after acquiring CCS Logistics and Sequence Logistics last year. In 2022, CCH completed a significant acquisition of CCS Logistics from Oceana Group Limited.

CCH was established last year with funding managed by African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM) to bolster food security across sub-Saharan Africa through improved temperature-controlled logistics infrastructure. The iDube facility adds 9,000 pallets of refrigerated capacity in Durban to CCH’s network.
