Constellation Cold Logistics announces opening of its new 13,000-pallet facility in Tønsberg, Norway

Construction was completed earlier this month, and the facility is already filling up with product from existing and new customers.

Tønsberg is Constellation’s third facility in Norway, expanding our geographic reach and providing customers more options to store product with us. Its strategic placement along the E18 route links the facility to the capital of Oslo as well as the west coast of the Oslo fjord as far south as Kristiansand. The facility boasts 13,000 pallet spaces of frozen storage capacity, as well as provisions for blast freezing, several value-added services and, for the first time across Constellation Norway, plate freezing and microwave tempering.

Kenneth Daugård Terkelsen, Project and Property Manager, said “Progress at the new Tønsberg site has been great. Our customers in Norway have expressed their excitement to make use of the space, which will quickly fill up. We have hired two managers with experience in the frozen food industry and 10 warehouse workers to run the site. A big thanks to everyone who has worked hard to deliver the project.”

Espen Karlsen, Constellation Nordics MD, said “The Tønsberg project has been a great success, highlighting our ambition to deliver high-quality cold chain infrastructure throughout Europe and grow with our customers. The facility looks fantastic, and we are proud to present it to colleagues and our customers. They are delighted with the results, and we are looking forward to the facility supporting their growth in the region for years to come.”
