First phase includes 7,000 pallet positions; full capacity to reach 18,000.
Emergent Cold LatAm has announced plans to construct a new cold storage warehouse in Cali, Colombia, strengthening its presence in one of the country's key industrial hubs. The project will support growing regional demand for temperature-controlled logistics services.
The first phase of the facility will offer 7,000 pallet positions for chilled and frozen products. Upon completion, the total storage capacity will increase to 18,000 pallet positions. The site allows for phased construction and is strategically located to optimize regional distribution.
This marks the company’s third active development project in Colombia. Emergent Cold LatAm is currently building a warehouse in Cartagena, its second facility in a major port city. In Bogotá’s Funza neighborhood, an expansion project is underway to add 13,000 pallet positions.
“There is strong customer demand in the Cali region for additional cold storage capacity,” said Alain Eichmann, Managing Director of Emergent Cold LatAm. “We continue to make significant infrastructure investments across Colombia with the goal of providing the highest-quality logistics solutions for the food supply chain.”
Emergent Cold LatAm entered the Colombian market in 2022 through the acquisition of a nationwide network of temperature-controlled warehouses. A second acquisition in Bogotá followed in 2024. The company now operates five cold storage facilities in Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Cali, and Cartagena.
