Hultsteins to distribute ORBCOMM temperature monitoring in Nordic and UK markets

Hultsteins, a UK/Swedish manufacturer of diesel-free refrigeration units, has signed a reseller agreement with ORBCOMM, a global provider of telematics and IoT technology. Under the agreement, Hultsteins is now authorized to distribute ORBCOMM Euroscan printers and temperature telematics sensors in the UK, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark.

The offering includes ORBCOMM’s Euroscan X3 and RT8110/8120 series printers, temperature sensors, and connectivity tools, which will be provided alongside Hultsteins’ own Ecofridge range. Ecofridge is a hydraulic, truck-powered refrigeration system that operates via PTO from Euro 6 diesel, CNG, LNG, or electric truck engines, eliminating the need for a separate diesel TRU engine.

ORBCOMM’s systems support end-to-end temperature monitoring and compliance documentation for cold chain applications, including food and pharmaceuticals. Users can generate printed or electronic temperature records, receive real-time alerts, and access advanced reporting functions for regulatory compliance and operational insights.

“This is a great opportunity for Hultsteins to give our customers a more comprehensive solution for their cold chain logistics operations,” said Graham Usher, Managing Director of Hultsteins UK. “We are excited to get the ball rolling on this.”

Trevor Durnin, VP of Sales for ORBCOMM UK and Ireland, added, “By offering our pioneering reefer technology alongside their high-efficiency Ecofridge product range, Hultsteins is creating a holistic cold chain logistics solution that enhances their customers’ capabilities.”

Customers will also gain access to ORBCOMM’s online platform, enabling remote asset management and data-driven fleet analysis.
