Lineage Expands Footprint in Belgium with Acquisition of Luik Natie

Lineage, Inc., the world's largest global temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, has completed the acquisition of Luik Natie, a specialist in cold storage and transport services located in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Belgium. This strategic acquisition enhances Lineage's existing capabilities in Belgium and expands its presence in the region.

Luik Natie's extensive facilities span over 61,000 square meters and emphasize sustainability, generating most of their energy from wind, solar, and battery sources - aligning with Lineage’s focus on reducing emissions. The campus is equipped with advanced freezing and cooling services for perishable goods, container storage solutions, a transportation division, and freight forwarding services, offering an integrated supply chain solution.

"The strategic location of Luik Natie at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges - the second largest port in Europe - will bolster our transport and storage services across Belgium and Europe," said Harld Peters, President of Europe at Lineage. "This acquisition is a significant step in our efforts to innovate the global food preservation industry, aiming to maintain the highest quality and safety standards."

Stefaan Verhelst, Managing Director of Luik Natie, added, “Lineage's acquisition of Luik Natie is a strategic move that expands Lineage’s presence in Europe and creates new opportunities for both companies. By joining forces, we can provide customers with better and more efficient logistics solutions.”

This acquisition is Lineage’s first since its IPO on July 25, 2024, and it continues Lineage's strong track record of growth through high-quality acquisitions. It demonstrates Lineage's commitment to supporting the global food and retail sectors, leveraging a network that now includes over 480 facilities worldwide.
