Lineage, Inc. has announced the opening of expanded capacity at its cold storage facility in Vejle, Denmark. The project adds 6,000 square meters to the site and increases total capacity to 93,500 EUR pallet positions.
The expansion strengthens Lineage’s cold storage network across the Nordics, supporting supply chains in Northern Europe. Located near key motorways and ports such as Aarhus and Hamburg, the facility enhances connectivity for customers in retail, food manufacturing, and foodservice sectors.
According to the company, the upgraded facility includes technologies designed to optimize energy efficiency and ensure safe storage of temperature-sensitive goods. The site serves as a central hub for Danish frozen retail distribution, with a significant share of the market located within 30 kilometers.
“Today’s expansion marks another exciting step forward in our mission to build the most dynamic and reliable cold chain network in the Nordics,” said Carsten Wolf, Regional Vice President Nordic Region at Lineage.
Sean Vanderelzen, President, Lineage Europe, added: “This state-of-the-art expansion in Vejle is a powerful example of how we have invested to deliver greater capacity, connectivity, and resilience across the cold chain, all while keeping our sustainability goals front and center.”
