The ceremony featured key figures including Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, and Vincent Clerc, CEO of A.P. Moller – Maersk.
The new park spans 225,000 square meters and offers integrated logistics solutions encompassing multi-modal connectivity, warehousing, and customs-bonded setups. It caters to diverse industries such as FMCG, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and electronics. Notably, the facility will draw 70% of its electricity from solar panels and utilize electric equipment to support Maersk's decarbonization goals.
Maersk has also launched an in-house women’s academy to promote diversity and inclusion within the logistics and supply chain sector. This initiative aims to empower Saudi Arabian women through specialized training and career development.
Emphasizing safety, the park features advanced firefighting systems, segregated paths for pedestrians and equipment, and comprehensive surveillance.
The park at Jeddah Islamic Port benefits from advanced infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency and competitiveness by accommodating large ships and using modern, environmentally friendly equipment.
