NewCold acquires Germany’s Schüssler Spedition to expand European cold chain operations

NewCold has acquired Wilhelm Schüssler Spedition GmbH, a logistics and integration company based in Heppenheim, Germany. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening NewCold’s presence in Germany and supporting its expansion of automated cold chain logistics services across Europe.

The Schüssler Spedition brand and team will remain in place to ensure continuity for current customers and partners. According to the announcement, the transition will be guided by shared values and a customer-first approach.

Bram Hage, Founder and CEO of NewCold, said: “The combination of Schüssler’s local expertise and customer trust with NewCold’s technological innovation and global network enables us to serve our partners even better—especially as we expand our footprint with our customers in Germany.”

Konstantin Schüßler, Managing Director of Schüssler Spedition, commented: “We are excited to join forces with NewCold. Together, we will continue to deliver excellent service to our customers while unlocking new capabilities for innovation and scalability.”

The move is described as a strategic milestone in NewCold’s European growth plan, combining local logistics experience with automated technologies to expand its transportation and cold chain capabilities in the region.
