NewCold Doubles Capacity at Kutno Warehouse to Over 112,000 Pallet Positions

NewCold has completed the expansion of its automated warehouse in Kutno, Poland, doubling its capacity to over 112,000 pallet positions to meet the increasing demand for cold storage in the country.

“We are excited to further contribute to Poland’s status as a major European food logistics hub with this strategic expansion. The additional capacity at Kutno allows us to meet the growing demand from our customers in Poland,” said Bram Hage, NewCold’s Founder and CEO. “And our global warehouse and transport network can help Polish food producers access new markets in Central Europe and beyond.”

The expansion at Kutno enhances NewCold’s ability to offer superior service and underscores the company’s commitment to innovation. Roberto Alessio, NewCold Vice President Business and Growth Central and Eastern Europe, noted, “With the Kutno expansion, we are better able to accommodate high-volume customers across Poland in one location. Our highly automated systems and cutting-edge technology ensure optimal storage and transportation while minimizing energy consumption.”

The Kutno facility utilizes automation and renewable energy solutions, including solar panels and electric trailers, to enhance efficiency and sustainability in customers’ supply chains.

NewCold's services provide visibility, traceability, and scalability, helping customers navigate today’s challenges and future-proof critical parts of their value chain.

This expansion is a significant milestone in NewCold’s global growth, as the company continues to expand with 18 mostly automated warehouses in ten countries across three continents since its founding in 2012. The growth in the region will continue with a new state-of-the-art facility in Nowy Modlin, Poland, scheduled to open in Q1 2025.
