NewCold, a global leader in advanced food logistics, has officially inaugurated its newest state-of-the-art facility in McDonough, Georgia. The opening ceremony was graced by Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, who were on a working visit to the United States. The event was attended by Dutch dignitaries, including ministers, US Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Shefali Razdan Duggal, and Ambassador Birgitta Tazelaar of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Founded in 2012 in the Netherlands, NewCold has rapidly expanded its operations worldwide. The McDonough facility, an 85,000-pallet high-bay warehouse, is NewCold's first dry goods warehouse in North America. This milestone underscores NewCold's mission to provide innovative and sustainable logistics solutions globally.
Deirdre Elter, Vice President of Customer Supply Chain and Logistics for Conagra Brands, highlighted the importance of the new facility in modernizing their distribution network. The automated warehouse is expected to enhance Conagra's ability to meet customer and consumer demands.
Jonas Swarttouw, NewCold Executive Vice President Commercial and Chairman North America, expressed pride in expanding the collaboration with Conagra to support their dry network in the Southeast market. He acknowledged the close cooperation between the teams during the transition and startup phase.
The $333 million facility in McDonough reflects Georgia's growing significance as a logistics hub and the strength of bilateral trade ties between the Netherlands and the US. Announced as the single-largest investment by a business in Henry County, the facility is expected to boost local employment and contribute to regional economic development, with plans already in place for expansion.
Henry County Development Authority Executive Director F. J. "Josh" Fenn noted the significance of this partnership, which brought the first Head of State visit in the county's 203-year history.
