Schmitz Cargobull and AddSecure have announced a Europe-wide partnership to introduce a fully integrated telematics solution for trucks and trailers. The system includes tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) data and aims to streamline fleet management and digitalise logistics operations.
The new solution enables telematics data from Schmitz Cargobull vehicles and various truck brands to be automatically transferred to AddSecure’s FleetVision portal via the TrailerConnect® Data Management Centre (DMC). The integration requires no additional hardware or manual setup, reducing IT workload and enhancing data connectivity for transport and logistics operators.
All Schmitz Cargobull trailers are factory-equipped with TrailerConnect® telematics. The TrailerConnect® portal consolidates all telematics data, offering centralised fleet control, compatibility with real-time visibility platforms, and selective, secure data sharing.
Schmitz Cargobull collaborates with over 40 established partners to enable cross-manufacturer fleet mapping via the DMC import function. The company plans to expand the partnership with AddSecure to include retrofit solutions for refrigerated transport.
“Our goal is to offer our customers the best telematics services together with AddSecure,” said Dr Cafer Ince, Head of Product Line Digital Services and Managing Director of Cargobull Telematics & KubikX GmbH.
Claes Ödman, President AddSecure Smart Transport, added: “The partnership with Schmitz Cargobull enables us to deliver a solution that sets new standards across Europe. The automatic integration of vehicle data in FleetVision enables next-generation fleet management – safe, intelligent and sustainable.”
