Sprouts Chooses Axiom Cloud For Refrigeration Energy Management

Axiom Cloud announces that its “apps for refrigeration” are now deployed in dozens of Sprouts Farmers Market stores in Northern California. Axiom’s apps will be used to enhance refrigeration uptime, reduce refrigerant leak rates, and generate new revenue through automated demand response.

With Facilities Analyzer, Axiom’s foundational app, Sprouts now has real-time access to refrigeration data across all enrolled sites in one dashboard, and receives highly-contextual notifications alerting them to urgent maintenance issues, refrigerant leaks, and energy-saving opportunities. Monthly Performance Reports summarize results and intelligently rank outstanding issues by urgency and value.

Axiom’s Virtual Battery app provides Sprouts with a completely new revenue stream by utilizing low-temperature refrigeration and HVAC loads to participate in PG&E’s demand response programs. Additionally, Virtual Battery will allow Sprouts to take advantage of PG&E’s lucrative Automated Demand Response incentives to make the ROI even more attractive..

Sprouts has over 380 stores in 23 states, and is one of the fastest-growing retailers in the country.
