GILOG, a company for innovative logistics from Frechen in North Rhine-Westphalia, is expanding into the Polish market and opening a logistics center with an area of 10,000 m² at the Breslau site, in the SEGRO Park Wrocław, Bierutowska. The expansion is to cover the logistics needs of an existing customer from October 2023.
At the new location, as in Frechen, a 360° service will be provided, where, in addition to the entire warehouse logistics and e-commerce fulfillment, value-added services such as packaging, order picking, display construction, repackaging and new packaging as well as technical tests, among other things, will be provided and software updates are made. Freight management completes the service package. GILOG was also able to convince its long-standing customer for the logistics business in Poland with a worldwide freight and delivery time concept without any loss of time, quality or economy in direct comparison to the current German central location.
The future logistics location is characterized by its strategically favorable location. In addition to Wroclaw Airport and a very good connection to all CEP and general cargo networks, there are good connections to the seaports of Swinoujscie (560km), Gdansk (480km) and Hamburg (650km). With a hall height of 10 m UKB, the new areas offer ideal conditions both for high racks and for other forms of storage such as block storage, because part of the logistics facility is intended for further growth at the location. "We are pleased to be able to grow beyond the borders of Germany with our long-standing business partner, because the commitment to us as a service provider is also proof of the quality and performance of our services," says Frank Oelschläger, managing partner and founder of GILOG GmbH.
"The excellent infrastructure of the location in combination with GILOG's in-depth e-commerce expertise will offer significant added value for numerous companies in the retail and consumer goods segment, such as fashion & sports, electronic items and food," adds Martin Königstein, Managing Director of pfenning logistics.
