Thermo King Awards First Dealers with Blue Track Select Certification

Thermo King announced a new milestone in the Blue Track Program by Thermo King, rewarding first dealerships across Europe with the Thermo King Blue Track Select certification.

The Blue Track Program by Thermo King, launched in December 2020, has been designed to lift and empower dealers’ uptime services. The Blue Track Select certification is awarded to selected dealership among Thermo King’s over 500 authorized service points in 75 countries.

To be Blue Track Select certified, the dealership needs to excel in service, expertise and offer additional capabilities to maximise customers’ uptime and boost their vehicle utilization.

This includes among others:

  • 24/7 mobile service van coverage in case of emergencies on the road,
  • commitment to resolve customer problem within six hours from receiving the call, anywhere in Europe,
  • team of technicians with completed Thermo King certified training,
  • continuous availability of genuine parts.
“We’re proud to be able to award the first 43 dealerships across Europe with the Blue Track Select certification,” said Juan Urmeneta, dealer channel operational excellence manager at Thermo King. “To warrant this unique and customer-centric service delivery, we’ve engaged a third party to audit the and evaluate parameters such as dwell time, case acceptance, and technician certification. The certification proves that the dealers provide exceptional preventative maintenance services designed to make unscheduled downtime a thing of the past.”

Expected and unexpected downtime of refrigeration systems costs transport companies an average of €1,250 per day. This amounts to a total estimated loss of €2 billion for the industry each year. The services within the Blue Track by Thermo King Program are tailored to reduce planned and unplanned fleet downtime by 15-20 percent and improve fleet utilization by 5 percent. This directly translates into lower total cost of ownership and better return on investment for the customers.
