Thermo King launches TX-Series truck refrigeration units in EMEA

Thermo King, a brand of Trane Technologies, has introduced the TX-Series, a new line of self-powered refrigeration units for small and large trucks across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Replacing the previous T-Series, the TX-Series offers up to 17% higher cooling capacity, up to 7% better fuel efficiency, and is up to 40 kg lighter.

Designed for both single- and multi-temperature operations, the TX-Series is suitable for fresh and frozen applications. It has been tested to operate in extreme ambient temperatures, from low levels up to 55°C. Features include intuitive in-cab controls, connectivity tools for performance monitoring, and noise-reduction options such as the Whisper and PIEK-certified Whisper Pro models.

The system incorporates redesigned refrigerant coils and piping to lower refrigerant charge and reduce global warming potential (GWP) by up to 21%. All models are compatible with HVO biodiesel, and an optional configuration supports B100 biofuel (EN-14214), reducing carbon emissions by up to 90% and particulate emissions by 78%.

The TX-Series includes extended maintenance intervals of 2,000 hours and built-in diagnostic tools such as ServiceWatch and BlueBox telematics. These features aim to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.

"The new TX-Series represents the next generation of self-powered refrigeration units and focuses on performance, reliability and ease of use and service combined with increased fuel efficiency," said Davide Previsdomini, Product Manager SP Truck at Thermo King EMEA.

The TX-Series is now available through Thermo King’s network of over 500 service centers in 75 countries across the EMEA region, with a full-coverage two-year warranty.
