The Australian HVAC&R industry celebrated its top professionals and projects at the 2025 AIRAH National Awards, held on November 20 at Crown Sydney. More than 200 AIRAH members and industry participants gathered for the black-tie gala, which recognised excellence across 13 award categories.
The evening was hosted by Steve Tabone, whose energy and humour set the tone for the event. Entertainment was provided by the band Two-Way Split, while attendees enjoyed dinner and networking opportunities.
Woolworths Group was a standout winner, claiming two awards for its integrated T-CO2 HVAC&R system at Woolworths Doolandella. The event also saw the debut of the “Excellence in Knowledge Building” category, with Brett Fairweather, F.AIRAH, taking home the award.
The James Harrison Medal, AIRAH’s highest individual honour, was awarded to Bryon Price, L.AIRAH. A long-time AIRAH member, Price has contributed to the Institute for over 25 years, including 14 years on the national board. He is recognised for his leadership, commitment to sustainability, and service to the industry.

AIRAH expressed its appreciation to all finalists and winners for their contributions to the industry. The event was supported by sponsors including Daikin, Superior Training Centre, A.G. Coombs, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia, and Ecolibrium.
