Advansor Appoints Ricardo Freitas as CEO, Replacing Breitenbauch

Advansor, a Dover company in the CO2 refrigeration sector, has announced the appointment of Ricardo Freitas as CEO, effective early June 2026. Freitas will work with the existing leadership team to drive continued growth across Europe and Latin America while ensuring customer support and reliability.

Freitas brings more than 30 years of global industrial manufacturing experience within the refrigeration and HVAC industry. He joins from Energy Recovery, where he served as Vice President and General Manager of CO2 from May 2024 in Lyon, France. In that role he set the strategic vision for CO2 solutions, identified market opportunities and formed partnerships in European and US markets, and oversaw operations and financial performance.

His earlier career spans 13 years at Lennox International, where he served as VP and General Manager for EMEA from 2017 to 2024 and previously led the South America refrigeration business based in São Paulo. Before Lennox, he spent 15 years at Carrier Corporation in Brazil, holding roles in operations management, quality, and after-sales across Manaus and Porto Alegre.

His focus areas at Advansor include operational excellence, strategy, market expansion, and the development of high-performing teams. A transition period is planned alongside outgoing CEO Kristian Breitenbauch, who has led the company for more than eight years.

Under Breitenbauch, Advansor moved all production back to Denmark, built a modern factory, and grew its workforce to include colleagues from more than 40 nationalities.
