AQUIS, a US-based specialist in air handling unit (AHU) refurbishment and optimization, has introduced a new service called Continuous Coil Optimization & Monitoring (CCOM). The launch coincides with the company’s 20th anniversary.
CCOM integrates AQUIS Coil and Tube Restoration with SmartCoil, an AI-powered monitoring system designed to track HVAC coil fouling levels. SmartCoil provides real-time condition-based responses to customers and AQUIS, triggering coil and tube restoration precisely when needed. The service aims to improve system efficiency, reliability, and proactive performance management.
According to the company, the solution supports continuous commissioning for systems critical to healthcare facilities, production processes, and laboratories. It enables facility teams to predict fouling, reduce energy consumption, and maintain consistent reliability.
“Twenty years ago, AQUIS set out to extend the life and efficiency of AHUs with innovative refurbishment technologies,” said Mike Bodón, President and CEO of AQUIS. “Today, we're continuing that mission with Continuous Coil Optimization & Monitoring—giving our customers a smarter, data-driven way to maximize system performance and provide quantifiable cost savings over time.”
The service is targeted at facility maintenance and engineering teams, energy managers, and ESCOs across sectors such as healthcare, higher education, industrial and manufacturing facilities, data centers, government, and commercial real estate.
