AREA 2020 Annual Report

In 2020 AREA Annual Report:

  • Signed the pledge against illegally traded HFCs and initiated work on the extension of the F-gas certification scheme to alternative refrigerants
  • Co-signed a Joint Industry Statement on Healthy Buildings for All and started working on a contribution to the upcoming Heating & Cooling Strategy
  • Issued guidance on safe maintenance of air conditioning systems in COVID-19 circumstances and highlighted our industry’s essential role 
  • Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ISHRAE
  • Became partner of the world’s first natural refrigerant virtual trade show
  • Welcomed a Union of African Associations in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Took part in the World Refrigeration Day 2020 and the first Chillventa eSpecial
