AREA Launches Vision 2030 for Sustainable Future

The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration European Association (AREA) has announced its Vision 2030, addressing the fundamental changes within the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heat Pump (RACHP) sector. This vision is in response to pressing challenges such as the energy crisis and climate change, which are reshaping the industry's landscape.

Vision 2030 focuses on four key pillars essential for a transition to a sustainable future in the RACHP sector:

  1. Refrigerants: Emphasizing the transition to alternative refrigerants to reduce environmental impact.
  2. Human Capital: Aiming to attract and retain skilled professionals to strengthen the industry workforce.
  3. Sustainable Innovation: Championing energy and resource efficiency through a lifecycle approach to innovations.
  4. Framework Conditions: Advocating for a coherent regulatory and standardisation framework to support industry advancements.

These pillars outline the strategic direction for AREA's initiatives over the next five years, ensuring the RACHP sector evolves comprehensively and sustainably.
