AREA Unveils Comprehensive Guide on F-Gas Regulation

The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration European Association (AREA) has released a detailed guide to help RACHP contractors navigate the new F-Gas Regulation that takes effect on March 11, 2024. This regulation introduces a new framework of requirements aimed at shaping operations within the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sectors.

AREA's guide highlights key changes compared to the previous regulation, illustrating new rules and their practical implications for RACHP contractors. It offers insights into the regulation's impact and includes a useful table that summarizes the certification requirements. Notably, the guide also dedicates a chapter to the Implementing Act 2024/2215, providing critical information on compliance.

Designed as a "living document," the guide will continuously evolve, incorporating new insights from practical experiences and adapting to any additional implementing legislation. For RACHP professionals, this guide is a vital resource for staying informed and meeting new regulatory standards.
