ARS Partners with Bluon to Integrate AI and Equipment Data in HVAC Services

American Residential Services (ARS), a residential HVAC and plumbing services provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Bluon, Inc., a technology platform focused on HVAC data and support solutions. The collaboration aims to leverage artificial intelligence and real-time equipment data to improve field service operations across ARS’s nationwide service network.

Through the partnership, ARS will gain access to Bluon’s suite of technician workflow applications, OEM-sourced equipment data, AI tools, and cross-platform integrations. Bluon’s data infrastructure includes deep-linking and real-time diagnostics within existing field platforms, helping technicians identify HVAC systems and assess issues more quickly.

“Our partnership with Bluon represents a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to innovation in HVAC service,” said David Slott, CEO of ARS. “By equipping our technicians with cutting-edge tools and data, we aim to enhance our customer experience, simplify system diagnostics, and improve productivity.”

Over the past year, the two companies conducted pilot programs in several ARS branches to assess the new tools. According to Bluon, results showed up to a 5% uptick in average ticket size and a 10-fold increase in equipment-specific content usage on the platform, driven by deeper technician engagement and broader equipment coverage.

SGS, the data platform developed by Bluon and its partners, formed the foundation of the initiative. SGS enables instant recognition of thousands of HVAC makes and models, offering diagnostic insights, parts data, and access to OEM manuals through field platforms. The platform is integrated with key providers such as FieldEdge, ServiceTitan, and Housecall Pro.

“This partnership with ARS is a huge milestone for Bluon, as it accelerates adoption of our technician-centered tools and data platform at enterprise scale,” said Peter Capuciati, Chairman and CEO of Bluon. “ARS is an ideal partner, prioritizing technician experience and innovation.”

ARS operates a national network of HVAC and plumbing branches in 24 states. The integration of Bluon’s tools is expected to expand across all ARS locations throughout 2024.

Bluon is based in Irvine, California. Its SGS platform aggregates data on over 50,000 HVAC models and is designed to integrate with existing technician workflows.
