BASX Opens Advanced Weld Shop

BASX, a leader in the manufacturing of high-efficiency data center cooling solutions, cleanroom systems, and custom HVAC systems, has announced the opening of its new 36,000-square-foot weld shop at its Redmond headquarters.

On September 18th, 2024, the Redmond Chamber of Commerce officially inaugurated the facility. The new shop is set to create 30 new welding positions, from entry-level to experienced roles, with opportunities across various departments.

"This new facility is a major investment in our company and the Central Oregon community," said Dave Benson, AAON VP and BASX President. "We can now deliver higher quality and efficiency while providing more job opportunities locally."

The advanced shop features state-of-the-art welding technology in a climate-controlled environment. Highlights include a tube laser for precision cutting, 5-ton overhead cranes, and a planned dual-zone robotic welding cell for large assemblies to be operational in early 2025.

Equipped with advanced air filtration systems, the shop ensures exceptional air quality for workers. The expansion will enhance BASX's production capabilities and support its ongoing growth.
