Beijer Ref acquires HVAC/R wholesaler Refspecs in New Zealand

Beijer Ref has signed a binding agreement to acquire Refspecs, a New Zealand-based HVAC and refrigeration wholesaler with an annual turnover of approximately SEK 100 million (approx. USD 9.5 million).

Founded in 2010, Refspecs is headquartered in Auckland and operates five branches across the country. Following the acquisition, the company will continue to operate under its existing brand.

The transaction is subject to approval by New Zealand’s competition authority. Once completed, it is expected to have a minor positive impact on Beijer Ref’s financial results.

“Refspecs is a well-established brand in the region that strengthens our position in the HVAC and refrigeration sector locally. This acquisition is a step in advancing our strategic goal of expanding our market footprint and maximizing synergies,” said Christopher Norbye, CEO of Beijer Ref. “We look forward to further advancing the company’s growth and development alongside its experienced management team.”
