Beijer Ref and Copeland have extended their exclusive agreement for the distribution of Copeland ZX condensing units across Australia and New Zealand. The agreement covers distribution through Beijer Ref Australia, Kirby HVAC&R, Patton NZ and SCM Ref Australia.
The exclusivity applies to all ZX condensing units manufactured in Asia, as well as the HLR (Horizontal Receiver Scroll Unit) and parts unique to the ZX platform. According to the companies, the extension supports the supply of refrigeration solutions for the Australia and New Zealand market.
Copeland said the ZX condensing unit range is designed for applications including convenience stores, cold rooms, food service and specialty retail, where space, noise and regulatory compliance are critical. The company said the platform combines scroll compressors, electronic controls and A2L safety architecture to support the transition to lower-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants.
“This agreement builds on a strong and successful partnership with Beijer Ref. By combining our innovative ZX platform with Beijer Ref’s extensive distribution network, we are well positioned to support customers across Australia and New Zealand with reliable, efficient and future-ready refrigeration solutions,” said Shannon Lovett, country manager, Australia and New Zealand for Copeland.
Beijer Ref Australia and Kirby HVAC&R have more than 70 branches across Australia, while Patton NZ provides nationwide coverage in New Zealand, according to the companies.
