Beijer Ref extends distribution agreement with Carrier

Beijer Ref and Carrier extend exclusive agreement to distribute Carrier DX’s comfort cooling products in several countries in Europe.

Carrier is a leading global provider of innovative heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as one of the largest owners in Beijer Ref AB. Beijer Ref, the world’s largest global refrigeration wholesaler, has had the exclusive rights to import and distribute Carrier-branded direct expansion residential and light commercial heating, ventilating and air conditioning products in a number of countries in Europe since 2015. Such distribution has just been extended until the end of year 2023.

As previously, the amendment gives Beijer Ref exclusive rights to distribute Carrier-branded direct expansion residential and light commercial HVAC products in several countries in Europe while allowing Carrier to sell Carrier-branded products in these countries.

Carrier Global Corporation became an independent, publicly traded company, following its separation from United Technologies Corporation on April 3, 2020. Carrier is now listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol “CARR”.

Per Bertland, CEO Beijer Ref, comments:

“It is pleasing that our collaboration with Carrier continues. Comfort cooling is a segment that is constantly growing, especially as consumer demand in Europe increases for air conditioning in the home. Carrier is a company which leads innovation in the market and has a strong product range, which in turn further strengthens Beijer Ref’s position in Europe.”

Meredith Emmerich, Managing Director, Carrier Global RLC concurs:

“We are happy to continue to strengthen our long-standing partnership with Beijer Ref to grow the Carrier brand. Beijer Ref’s geographic coverage and experience continues to drive strong adoption of the Carrier brand in residential and light commercial HVAC applications. Moving forward, both companies will promote the Carrier-brand which we believe is a win-win in expanding to more customers, who can enjoy Carrier’s innovative cooling and heating systems.”
