CAREL wins German Design Award 2026 for iJ XL controller

CAREL has received the German Design Award 2026 in the Excellent Product Design category for its iJ XL controller, the latest development in its iJ platform for commercial refrigeration.

The iJ XL features an extra-large display available in both vertical and horizontal orientations, designed to improve readability and usability. A dedicated status bar provides an at-a-glance overview of unit operation. The chrome-finish version supports integration with stainless-steel equipment, aiming to complement professional food service environments.

The device maintains the core features of the iJ controller family, including an intuitive and customisable interface, precise control functions, and advanced connectivity for integration with digital services.

“The German Design Award 2026 confirms the iJ XL as a benchmark for innovation and quality, both in form and function. This recognition celebrates our commitment to developing refrigeration control solutions that combine performance, usability and design excellence,” said Giovanni Tonin, Group Solution Marketing Manager – Food Service at CAREL.
