Carrier introduced its latest innovations for Saudi Arabia at the HVACR Expo Saudi 2017. Carrier, which operates in Saudi Arabia through Arabian Air Conditioning Company and Carrier Saudi Service Company, its joint venture companies with E.A. Juffali & Brothers, is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The exhibition and conference is the largest of its kind in Saudi Arabia, attracting thousands of visitors between Jan. 15-17. This year, HVACR Expo Saudi 2017 focused on residential and industrial air conditioning innovations, including Carrier’s new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system and high-efficiency hi-wall unit.
“We are proud to serve as platinum sponsors of this event dedicated to the experts of the HVACR industry in Saudi Arabia and to introduce the latest, updated technology into Saudi Arabia,” says Giorgio Elia, vice president, UTC Climate, Controls & Security, Middle East. “Our portfolio of products showcased at the event demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and to continuously improving energy efficiency.”
Carrier’s latest innovations exhibited at the event included the new VRF system and the new high-efficiency hi-wall unit, which uses inverter technology and offers excellent energy efficiency ratings with greatly reduced energy consumption and improved performance in new elegant design options. The new systems use the environmentally-balanced refrigerant, Puron®, which does not emit any ozone-depleting chemicals and is non-flammable and non-corrosive.
Carrier also showcased:
- Its high-efficiency ductless split indoor and outdoor solutions, which are fully compliant with the new Saudi Arabian Standards Organization regulations and offer reduced energy consumption and improved performance
- Commercial refrigeration display cabinet and condensing units, commercial district cooling fan coil units and ducted split low height fan coil units
- The AquaEdge™ 30XRV chiller, a state-of-the-art centrifugal chiller, which operates in a wide range of capacities (200-3,000 tons), utilizing a single semi-hermetic compressor with a positive pressure R134a non-ozone depleting refrigerant
The team also highlighted its full range of aftermarket sales and service offerings, factory authorized parts and allied products, and delivered presentations on the latest advancements in the industry. Topics included innovations in air-cooled chiller technology for high ambient environments and designing superior direct expansion systems using the inverter technology for developers and end users.
