Carrier has announced a ₹1,000 crore [approx. USD 120 million] investment to establish a 39-acre (about 15.8 ha) manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, focused on sustainable and energy-efficient cooling solutions. The project is expected to create 3,000 jobs.
The company said the plant will integrate eco-friendly manufacturing practices and serve demand for sustainable commercial cooling. Carrier positioned the facility as part of its global sustainability goals and its climate and energy solutions portfolio, and noted Andhra Pradesh’s efficient business environment.
Carrier’s move is framed as an effort to capitalize on regional growth while facing competition from established local and international players.
