Caverion Germany will install heating, cooling, plumbing and ventilation systems for the new Parent-and-Child-Centre at Lüneburg Municipal Hospital in Germany. The contract value is around EUR 7.8 million [approx. USD 8.4 million].
The five-storey building will have a gross floor area of 17,000 square metres (approx. 183,000 square feet). It will house the paediatric emergency department, a neonatal and paediatric intensive care unit, maternity ward and the women's clinic.
The project includes seven delivery rooms and an operating theatre for caesarean sections. Caverion experts will connect the building to the heating district network, install more than 23 kilometres (approx. 14 miles) of piping and 273 sanitary objects.
The ventilation systems will have a capacity of 38,000 m³/h (approx. 22,400 cfm). Caverion’s work is scheduled to continue until September 2028.
