Hyperco Fin HoldCo 1, the company behind the Kouvola data center project in southeastern Finland, has selected Caverion as its technical construction and installation partner. The agreement, signed on 10 December 2025, covers the data infrastructure for the new facility and is one of the largest contracts in the history of the Assemblin Caverion Group. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
Caverion will be responsible for several technical systems, including cooling, ventilation, fire alarm, fire extinguishing, and smoke extraction systems. The company will also handle electrical and HVAC installations, as well as the indoor construction of the data center rooms.
According to Aleksi Taipale, Co-Founder and CEO at Hyperco, the collaboration with Caverion strengthens the domestic contribution to the project and supports employment both in the Kouvola region and nationally. “We were convinced of Caverion's capability in the technical construction and installation of data centers. Our shared goal is to complete Kouvola data center on time, to a high standard, and with full attention to safety,” Taipale said.
The Kouvola project adds to Assemblin and Caverion’s portfolio of data center projects in Finland and Sweden, including a recent assignment at the Nebius data center in Mäntsälä.
Work on the Kouvola data center is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with phased completion starting at the end of the same year.
