CEVA Logistics has begun construction of a new 27,000 m² warehouse in Tórtola de Henares, Spain, dedicated to supporting the operations of air conditioning manufacturer Daikin. The facility will play a central role in Daikin’s expansion strategy in the country.
The new logistics center is scheduled to become operational in the first quarter of 2027, following a groundbreaking ceremony held in December 2025. It will enhance Daikin’s logistics flows through advanced infrastructure, IT systems for inventory and traceability, and customized solutions such as drive-in storage systems. The facility will also include new office spaces and optimized operational layouts.
Designed to meet BREEAM Very Good certification standards, the warehouse incorporates sustainability features such as renewable energy use, LED lighting, water efficiency systems, and low carbon footprint materials.
This development strengthens a 21-year partnership between CEVA Logistics and Daikin in Spain. Currently, CEVA operates for Daikin from its Alovera facility, which will be complemented by the new site to increase operational capacity and flexibility.
“This project represents a key milestone in the relationship between CEVA Logistics and Daikin,” said Puerto Ahedo, Contract Logistics Leader, Spain, CEVA Logistics. “It not only reinforces a partnership built over more than two decades but also reflects our commitment to continue supporting Daikin’s growth in Spain in the coming years through a shared vision focused on the future, efficiency and sustainability.”
