CoilPod LLC Announces the Allowance of Patent on Air-Cleaning Blower Technology to Retard Coil Fouling in Refrigeration Units

CoilPod LLC, a start-up company that has focused upon the coil cleaning of commercial refrigeration units in the HVACR sector, has reached agreement with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on the allowance of pending U.S. Patent Publication No. 2018/0156525, which broadly covers the use of air cleaning-blower technology to pre-scrub dust and debris laden air before it contacts the condenser coils in both residential and commercial refrigeration appliances. This new CoilPod approach will significantly retard the rate at which such coils become clogged, which severely compromises the energy efficiency of the appliance over time. This new technology also includes the presence of coil cleaning ports that allow for eventual quick and effective coil cleaning, when needed, via CoilPod’s unique compressed air and vacuum cleaning technology.

Clean refrigeration coils save energy in the operation of the units (about 20% on average) and also insure equipment operational advantages, thereby reducing unneeded service calls, protecting the inventory that is being cooled or frozen, and extending the lifespan of the appliance.

The company is actively exploring a licensing program with interested manufacturers for both new unit manufacture as well as retrofit of existing units now deployed and in operation in the field.
