In the Domodedovo district of the Moscow region company Morena (Russian wholesaler of Sanhua) has designed, installed, and launched the largest Russian low temperature cold rooms complex for storage of vaccine Sputnik-V (Gam-COVID-Vak). These cold rooms are designed for storage of up to 10 million doses of the vaccine with a temperature regime of below -18°C. It consists of the main storage area and the area necessary for the operations of receiving vaccine, preparing, and assembling thermostatic transportation containers.

The main storage area consists of two low-temperature chambers (with a volume of about 1200m3 each and a temperature regime of -25°C...-28°C) and a vestibule with a volume of 480m3 with a temperature regime of -30°C.

The cooling system consists of 5 independent refrigeration units (2 units in each chamber - main-backup and 1 unit in the tambur-gateway). Each unit includes:
- compressor unit based on "GEA Bock" compressors with a capacity of 29.9 kW at evaporation -30°C, refrigerant R404A.
- heat exchangers.
- shut-off and control valves.
- automation and control system.

The system includes different Sanhua products like mechanical pressure switches PS, ball valves, solenoid and check valves, and sight glasses.

Compliance with the storage conditions of the vaccine is ensured by a temperature monitoring system and a double backup of electrical supply and refrigeration system that has passed multi-level stress tests.
