Conad creates a new jewel of retail by opening the Sapori&Dintorni store in Bologna, in the XV century setting of the Palazzo del Monte di Pietà in Via Indipendenza, the heart of the city.

Sapori&Dintorni is Conad's format dedicated to cities of art, already present in 20 other Italian historic centres. The shops offer innovative shopping experiences for citizens and tourists, combining the assortment of excellent local and regional Italian food and wine with adherence to initiatives for the enhancement of culture and territory and the safeguarding of sustainability, in a compact store area offering multiple strategic points.

This format has been designed to best respond to the desires of new consumers, oriented towards a healthy lifestyle but at the same time curious about gourmet experiences: this is why the Sapori&Dintorni and Sapori&Idee lines, the flagship of Conad's offer, find here the best spot. The regional specialities and gourmet dishes of the shop can also be enjoyed in the elegant ItalianBistrò, an area dedicated to food and wine tasting for a shopping experience that blends with leisure time.

Conad decided to confirm the valuable partnership with Arneg, which managed the entire refrigeration system, and Intrac, which took care of the furnishing of the Bakery and ItalianBistrò areas. The layout and technology of the 600 sqm point of sale have been designed with a green perspective, thanks to innovative LED lighting systems and Arneg's latest generation refrigeration systems that allow considerable energy savings as well as better conservation of food.

Arneg's proposal was able to meet the needs of the well-stocked fresh and ultra-fresh market, but also of low-temperature conservation. PANAMA 3P, the centrepiece of the shop, is the vertical multi-level self-service unit for displaying packaged dairy products and pre-packed vegetables. The serve-over is a combination of the front-counter version of BADEN display cabinets for the display of cold gastronomy, cheese and cold cuts, and the LOSANNA 2 back counter for the presentation of sliced meats, cold cuts and dairy products. The ASTANA P upright cabinet with glass doors for self-service display of frozen products completes the equipment.
