Cooling companies are essential activities for society. Royal Decree-Law 10/2020 of 29 March, establishing and regulating the essential activities and linked them regarding COVID19 includes cooling companies in points 2, 4, 5 and 25 of the Annex. Therefore, and as has always exposed AEFYT, Association of Cold and technologies , the sector is essential for the functioning of other basic services.

The activities described in Annex to the RDL include the installation and maintenance of refrigeration unit; manufacturing and distribution equipment, components and equipment for non-domestic cooling refrigerator; and implementation or expansion of refrigeration facilities were running when it enacted the Royal Decree and are intended to serve the essential activities stipulated in that legislation. Among them, activities that are part of the production of the food industry, those that serve health and computer centers and calculation are included. It is also imperative that companies that supply materials to manufacturers of such equipment,

AEFYT also stresses the importance of air conditioning being applied for health reasons on health (delivery rooms, operating theaters, rooms of clinics and hospitals, morgues and funeral services); In addition, their use is essential for the operation of computer rooms, data centers and computing.

All this is possible thanks to the work of more than 5,000 certified installers and more than 200 manufacturers, consultants and marketing of supplies and refrigeration equipment.
